Training and Support

When you join the Spherion family, you're not just gaining a business; you're gaining a community. With over 380 hours of comprehensive training, including in-person boot camps and ongoing webinars, you'll hit the ground running with confidence. Our dedicated support doesn't stop there; we're with you every step of the journey, ensuring your success is our priority.

Spherion requires all new franchisees to attend our new owner boot camp at our corporate offices in Atlanta, GA. This one-week training curriculum reinforces Spherion’s proven operating practices, quality philosophy and culture while building your recruitment and business development skills in a collaborative environment with other new Spherion franchisees.

Once you open your office, we join you for 80 hours in the first month of operation to continue building your confidence as a new staffing business owner through sales and operations skill development. This additional in-person assistance helps you jump-start revenue growth while making room for you to focus on clients and candidates from the start. We offer concurrent training to your new and seasoned staff members to support their professional development and ensure a fast start to productivity and revenue generation.

Spherion’s training curriculum continues with monthly online events about technology, recruitment, compliance, safety, workforce trends and business development. We never stop assisting our owners and their teams with their professional growth in pursuit of ever-greater business success.

If you're a dynamic leader with a passion for community and a drive for success, you're the perfect fit for Spherion. With a background in customer service, sales, and team management, you're ready to make your mark on the staffing industry. Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has sufficient operating capital or the ability to obtain operating funds from a verifiable source
  • Has at least 5 years' experience leading and developing a team or teams in areas of:
    • Customer development, service and support
    • Sales and prospect identification and activities
  • Can manage a P&L, basic accounting principles, accounts receivables management and delivery of compensation recommendations and guidance
  • Has built up personal experience in sales and market development including new business prospecting, sales calling, consultative selling skills, business negotiation skills and responding to bid opportunities
  • Knows, through at least 3 years' experience, how to recruit, hire and develop team members to manage role-specific responsibilities and demonstrate criteria-based results
  • Lives within a 60-minute drive of their desired market
  • Involves themselves in civic and community business organizations
  • Can confidently speak and present to groups of all sizes
