Mike Jordan Volunteers to Ensure Children’s Non-Profit Building Meets Green Standards
BATON ROUGE, La. (December 10, 2009) - HouseMaster, the first and one of the largest home inspection franchisors in North America, is pleased to announce that franchisee, Mike Jordan, has volunteered to help ensure that the new Children’s Miracle Network Mansion (CMM) adheres to green building standards. Jordan will use his National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Verifier Accreditation to certify that the CMM meets green building standards.
“Giving back to the community is very much a part of our culture at HouseMaster, said Kathleen Kuhn, President of HouseMaster. “Mike’s work with the CMN serves as an excellent example to our other 374 franchisees of how they can use their home inspection training to aide people in need,” said Kathleen Kuhn, President of HouseMaster.
The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals. Ground breaking on the CMM project will begin on December 10, 2009 at the CMM’s location in the Audubon Lakes Subdivision at 2896 Country Lake Avenue, Zachary, La. The project is slated for completed in May 2010. Upon completion the CMM will be raffled off in support of the CMN. The raffle drawing will take place on June 6, 2010 and tickets are available for purchase at many Baton Rouge, La.-area businesses including the Capital Region Builders Association, Our Lady of the Lake Foundation, Keller Williams Real Estate, and ReMax Real Estate.
“Being able to use my training and my experience as a HouseMaster franchisee to help my community is extremely rewarding,” said Jordan. “I am excited to use my skills to help to the Children’s Miracle Network continue its mission of helping children while helping the environment at the same time. It’s win-win for all involved.”
In addition to his NAHB certification, Jordan also received certification from the National Institute of Building Inspectors® (NIBI), which is one of the oldest training and certification programs in the country and the only program of its kind to require annual re-certification testing of inspectors.
