Lisa Brauner is employment law counsel to franchises, growing companies and not-for-profit organizations. Lisa concentrates in the area of labor and employment law, representing employers. For more than 20 years, Lisa has represented and advised employers in a broad range of employment law matters in a wide variety of industries to help minimize the risk of litigation, including hiring and termination practices, wage/hour issues (including independent contractor vs. employee; exempt vs. nonexempt from overtime pay laws), FMLA, reasonable accommodation of disabilities, religion, pregnancy, lactation, and domestic violence victims. Ms. Brauner prepares employee policies and handbooks and other employment-related agreements and conducts trainings on preventing unlawful workplace discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Ms. Brauner also conducts investigations of internal complaints of discrimination/harassment and responds to EEOC and other governmental agency charges.
