Gary Henderson has been in banking in the Houston area for over 30 years and has spent the last 16 years as an SBA lending specialist. Gary is employed with Houston-based Allegiance Bank Texas, as Senior Vice President and Manager of the bank’s SBA Department. In his career as an SBA Lender, Gary has closed over $175,000,000 in SBA 7a and 504 loans.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (HAGGL) after serving as President in 2006. Gary serves as Chairman of the National Association of Government Guaranteed (NAGGL) Lenders Region 6 Liaison Committee and is a member of the NAGGL Small Bank Committee and Public Policy Committee. Gary also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Capital Certified Development Corporation.
Gary is a member of the SBA Economic Development Roundtable, the Houston SCORE Advisory Committee, the Houston Chapter of the Risk Management Association, the Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals and is Committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
In 2008, Gary received the SBA’s Financial Services Champion award for the Houston SBA District. He has been recognized by Capital Certified Development Corporation as one of their Top Volume SBA 504 lender in 2001, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. For 2015, Gary was recognized by NAGGL as the Champion of Veterans Small Business Lending.
