Franchise Business Arooga's Skates with Hershey Bears
to Raise $8,522
Six local Arooga’s restaurants and the Hershey Bears, a
Pennsylvania-based professional hockey team, have raised $8,522 for
the local "Running for Rachel" charity. This amount exceeds last
year's total by more than $2,500 and brings the fundraising
partnership to more than $21,000 dollars raised for the charity
over the last four years.
The charity is named for Rachel Guss, a college student loved
by the local community who lost her battle with a rare form of
duodenal cancer in November of 2011. Erin Stone, Rachel's sister
and the spokesperson for the charity, said the nonprofit was
thrilled that Arooga’s was the home of the Running for Rachel
fundraiser again this year and praised the franchise business'
staff, the Hershey Bears and the patrons who participated in the
event. Running for Rachel's annual run/walk event will take place
on April 24 this year at Harrisburg's City Island.
Doug Yingst, Hershey Bears’ General Manager and President,
spoke of the privilege and honor it was to work with Arooga's to
help the local charity. This is the fourth year in a row that
Arooga's decided to help raise funds before
the event in Rachel's memory. The college student was known by many
of the eatery's staff.
According to Arooga's President and Co-Founder Gary Huether,
Jr., Running for Rachel is a cause close to the Arooga's family’s
heart. Huether praised the local community for coming out and
supporting the cause and the Guss family and the Hershey Bears for
their successful charity partnership.
The Arooga's Franchise Opportunity
Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar is a full-service
casual brand that has an entertainment and sports focus. Founded in
2008, the franchise chain is currently in the middle of a

charity involvement, and it's also a fit for a person who is
looking for a green franchise chain. All of the Arooga's locations
have the Green Restaurant Association certification.
To qualify for the Arooga's
