Minuteman Press International is soaring in the Long Island, New York area, with this printing, marketing and design franchise business seeing a jump there in total sales volume by 18 percent in 2017's first quarter. The upward tick on Long Island growth is coming off a solid year for the franchise, which saw ten franchises in the region hit record sales.
Brand CEO and President Bob Titus noted that the company has a long history in Long Island, with the business being started in Plainview back in 1973. Over four decades later, the printing franchise has grown to 950 franchises worldwide.
Regional Area Manager Brian Sisti credited the Long Island franchisees for the sales boom, adding that many of the record-breaking owners had taken over locations that were in business for 20 years or more.
Some of the franchisees who achieved record sales included Michael Levy, who has owned a Levittown location for close to four years. Prior to joining this franchise, he worked as a business consultant and owned other small businesses. The Melville location was another store that experienced a sales boom, and it's owned by Steve Blustein, who took over the long-standing franchise back in 2012. George Dormani, who has owned the Rockville Centre store since 1999, also saw record-shattering sales, as did brand veteran Scott Levine, owner of the Bellerose store since 1985. Brand quality award-winner Wayne Herman, who has owned a Brooklyn store since 2008, also saw his best year of sales to date in 2016.
Brand Vice President Jim Hill, who also serves as support for franchisees in Long Island, said that this region has always been a strong market for the brand. He added the company is looking forward to supporting its owners and breaking even more records for total sales in the future.
The Internet Marketing Program provided by Minuteman to franchise businesses owners may be another factor in its recent success. Herman, who was an early adopter of this program, remarked that it has helped him advertise tremendously as he does a lot of business in the Manhattan area, where door-to-door marketing isn't a practical solution. There's also the brand's Royalty Incentive Program, a feature that has often led it to be labeled as a top franchise opportunity. Under this program, royalties are capped above a monthly sales level, allowing some owners to save when they hit their monthly level and reinvest that money back into their business.
