Making their debut in the list last year, Australia’s global
mobile coffee franchise Cafe2U has again made a
strong impression on the prestigious BRW Fast Franchises
rankings.
In the category of ‘Fastest growing revenue by franchise outlets’, Cafe2U took the number 22 spot among the class of 2010 with 90 outlets, a 39.54% increase in the three years to June 30, 2009. They also ranked 22nd in the ‘Fastest growing franchises by revenue’ category with $16.85 million, up 39.09% in the same period. There has also been increase in average revenue per outlet, up to $187, 222 in 2008-09 from $153, 867 in 2007-08.
Revenue growth has been driven by two overriding factors. Firstly the implementation of an ongoing programme of business analysis with existing franchisees and secondly the launch of the "Acceleration Package" which ensures new franchisees start their business with a higher base line of sales than in previous years. This is achieved through a unique training and development programme which also includes a revenue guarantee for the first two weeks of trading.
The list ranks 100 different franchise models in Australia.
"It was wonderful to break into the rankings last year in our first term of eligibility and equally satisfying this year, particularly to rank so well out of 100 franchise models. In terms of outlets we are continuing our expansion locally and overseas. We are breaking into the US and NZ markets next, they are the new frontiers on our agenda," said franchise founder Andy Simpkin.
Cafe2U is now largest mobile coffee franchise in the world, recently reaching the milestone of 100 franchises in Australia with more than 50 throughout the UK including Scotland, Northern England, Southern England, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.
The franchise group currently makes over 6.25 million cups of coffee a year.
