HASTINGS, Minn., Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. builds on
its Minnesota presence with the opening of a new location at 1316
South Frontage Road in Hastings under the direction of franchisees
Jay Wiese and Dan Finley.
"Opening the doors to our own Dickey's Barbecue location is exciting and the support from DBRI is fantastic," said Wiese, who will own and operate the restaurant with Finley. "We could not feel more comfortable about our decision to invest in the franchise."
This makes the ninth location of Dickey's Barbecue for Minnesota, with eleven more expected in the near future.
"The quality barbecue at a great price made my decision and then all of the operational support confirms that I made the right decision with DBRI," said Finley.
The restaurant remains anchored in Texas, where the first location opened in 1941.
"We are excited about expanding in Minnesota, where Texas-style barbecue is harder to find. The state has welcomed us with open arms and we couldn't be more excited to continue the working relationship," said Roland Dickey, Jr., President of DBRI.
There are 172 locations in 38 states, and holds a 46 percent growth rate with a goal of 200 stores by the year's end.
