serving the 'Aloha Spirit' to thirsty commuters at the Belmont Red
Line station, located at 945 W. Belmont Avenue. Maui Wowi
Franchisee, Priscilla Taylor, Owner/Operator, has partnered with
the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to become their newest
tenant.
"It's completed and the doors…or should I say…windows are open!" said Taylor. "There has definitely been a lot of curiosity from passers-by and people saying they've been waiting for us to open. Well, Maui Wowi is here and we're all about generating excitement, interest, and awareness!"
The fixed kiosk location celebrated their Grand Opening on September 30th where they passed out samples of their gourmet Hawaiian coffee in the morning and decadent Ghirardelli hot chocolate to warm up the crowds on a chilly Chicago day. The following week, customers were entertained by hula dancers, as well as, an appearance by the CTA President, Forrest Claypool.
Along with Claypool's support, Taylor's Maui Wowi Hawaiian location has also received attention from the local ABC news in Chicago and interviews with a local cable television program.
