Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar, a new entry to the "Future 50" from Restaurant Business magazine, is bringing its famous chicken wings and games to New York.
The brand announced its multi-unit franchise agreement with JGJO Development Co. LLC last year, and now the first location under that deal is being opened in Patchogue, Long Island. This is the first New York franchise business location for the chain, and at least nine more are planned for the Queens borough and Long Island areas.

Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Baron West Main Street is 7,450 square feet, with more than 100 TVs and a diverse menu featuring several made-to-order options and many fresh and organic ingredients. Its impressive bar offers 44 draft beers, from national to local favorites, and handcrafted cocktails made with premium liquors and real fruit juices.
Arooga's Co-Founder and President Gary Huether, Jr. said the company is very excited to open its first Long Island location and show the people of New York what Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar has to offer. The Patchogue franchisee, Joseph Alagna, said that he and his partner considered several casual theme concepts for the Long Island area and ultimately decided Arooga's was the perfect fit because of its wonderful yet affordable menu and its sports/family theme.
