Discovery Map, which is the top provider of curated tourist attraction guides for locations across North America, has just announced a discount on its franchise opportunities solely for veterans.
Under the brand's new program, veterans of the Armed Forces will receive 20 percent off the franchise fee to start a new franchise business or buy a current location. With the franchise fee set at $25,000, this incentive is worth $5,000.
Brand President Peter Hans said that because veterans have done a great service for the country, Discovery Maps wanted to go beyond the traditional gratitude and offer an opportunity for vets returning to civilian life. According to Hans, franchise opportunities with this brand could be interesting to vets who want a turnkey business where you can control your schedule or even work seasonally.
Currently, the map and guide provider has more than 130 maps across North America. The franchisees sell ad space on the map and the web version of the map on the company's official website. Most franchisees publish a print map only once or twice a year, depending on the first print run and map's popularity.
