Despite a purchasing power of around $917 billion in the US last year and a rise in LGBT tourism shown by a recent Witeck Communications analysis, LGBT is one demographic that is under-served in some markets. To help franchise business owners access this clear opportunity, home-based travel brand Dream Vacations is hosting its first-ever LGBT Getaways Cruise. This cruise will bring people together on the Celebrity Silhouette for a seven-night voyage to the Caribbean, and it leaves from Fort Lauderdale on April 8th of this year.
Company Performance and Network Manger Drew Daly said the cruise is a response to demand from consumers for a vacation experience that meets their lifestyles from franchisees who wish to serve this community. According to Daly, Celebrity Cruises is a well-known supporter of the LGBT community, and it was only natural for the travel home-based brand to partner with Celebrity to make this cruise happen.
The team at the travel brand's corporate office partnered with Celebrity Cruises to identify the most ideal ship and itinerary and to arrange for the space needed for the group. The LGBT Getaways Cruise is scheduled to visit Philipsburg, St. Maarten, Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tour group members will also receive an exclusive excursion from Resort for a Day and enjoy themed parties and wine tastings all week.
Brand franchisee and Advisory Council member Trapper Martin noted the franchisees are thrilled the company listened to them and organized this group cruise for the LGBT community. According to Martin, many people want an experience in a smaller group that isn't mass market, and this could be the start of a new trend in the travel sector.
A top-rated travel franchise opportunity, Dream Vacations is currently seeking passionate individuals who want to own their own business. The initial fee for this franchise opportunity is $9,800.
