Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. announced that it will target expansion of the Dunkin' Donuts brand in Western, Southern and Northern Texas. The franchise business is seeking franchisees to operate at least one location but no more than five stores in these areas. Qualified franchisees will already be managing local relevant businesses, such as retail outlets, restaurants and gas stations or convenience stores.
Targeted regions include Commerce, Athens, Paris, Sulphur, Hillsboro and Palestine in the north part of Texas; Kerrville, Alice, Beeville, Bay City and Del Rio in the south section; and Pecos, Fort Stockton, Big Spring and Andrews in the state's western area. The majority of current Dunkin' Donuts stores in the US are in the country's eastern part, but the franchise business is looking to expand across other regions to combat the competition in the quick service restaurant category.
In line with these expansion plans, Dunkin' Donuts recently signed a multi-unit development agreement with WF Donuts LLC that focuses on the Wichita Falls area. Under that deal, the brand will develop three new locations and one multi-brand Baskin-Robbins store. The first location under the agreement is slated to open in 2017. As part of a new-look effort, new franchisees are able to choose between four design layouts for their stores, and they can pick individual elements from any of these design options to create a more unique and personal feel.
