High-quality value gym chain Blink Fitness announced David Collignon as its new Vice President of Operations. Collignon has spent the last three years serving as Equinox Holdings' President of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, a group that includes the PURE Yoga, Blink Fitness, Equinox and SoulCycle brands.
Collignon comes to Blink with extensive firsthand knowledge of the fitness market, and he also has comprehensive retail operations experience from his time with the Children's Place. While at the Children's Place, the new VP oversaw more than 80 locations and over 1,300 employees, and he was also part of the team that led significant national expansion to the tune of 50 to 100 new stores annually. Early on in his career, Collignon held store and area manager roles at J.Crew, Calvin Klein Factory Stores and Eddie Bauer.
Blink President Todd Magazine says that the new VP is a great addition to Blink's stellar leadership team. Collignon's vast experience in multi-unit retail will be particularly helpful, Magazine noted, because the franchise business is seeking to increase its already strong growth and expand even further across the country. The new VP's luxury brand knowledge will also be put to use as the fitness chain seeks to boost its customer experiences.
