Franchise Business Firehouse Subs Welcomes Former Seattle Mariner

Date

Jan 19, 2016

After Jason Jaramillo caught his last ball as a Seattle Mariner and retired from professional baseball, he started looking for the right opportunity for the next part of his life. Jaramillo found that and more with sandwich franchise Firehouse Subs.

A resident of Caledonia, the former catcher for the Mariners was looking for a franchise that offered great products while giving him the chance to give back to his local community. Friend and former teammate Josh Fields mentioned to Jaramillo that Firehouse Subs encouraged its customers to make donations and that the money was used to help purchase public safety equipment. Once Jaramillo heard that, he was in.

Jaramillo currently owns the Firehouse Subs franchise rights for the Oak Creek, Mount Pleasant and Kenosha areas. His location on 6012 Washington Avenue in Mount Pleasant opened few weeks ago. Jaramillo’s uncle, Iram Cruz, is handling its daily operations while Jaramillo runs the catering side.

Jaramillo owns the building where the outlet is situated. The new Firehouse Subs is in a space his brother built, and his father knocked down the business that had originally occupied the property. His brother, Jaramillo noted, is a Mount Pleasant police officer, so the site made sense.

Jaramillo spoke about Firehouse Subs’ charity commitment and says the family will be working with fire departments in the area to help provide vital equipment. Cruz also noted that the franchise business has stayed true to its goals and is giving back to local communities by encouraging contributions to its Public Safety Foundation.

The Firehouse Subs Franchise Opportunity

Founded in 1994 by firefighting brothers Robin and Chris Sorenson, Firehouse Subs serves fresh hot and cold subs and other menu items, including salads. The franchise business is seeking franchisees in many major markets, including Florida, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine and New York. The initial investment is $20,000, with the total investment averaging from $131,150 to $928,405.
