Fast casual chain WayBack Burgers is having a great first half of the year, with rapid growth both at home and abroad and new awards to add to its collection. The brand was named to the "Top 10" list for best casual restaurant franchise businesses by franchiserankings.com; opened ten new franchise businesses in the US, with another 20 locations currently under construction; and will have new overseas stores in Kuwait, Casa Blanca, Sudan and Kuala Lumpur by the year's end.
Brand President John Eucalitto spoke of his pride at the company's accomplishments this year and credited franchisees and corporate staff for their innovative ideas that have helped position Wayback for consistent and strong growth. According to the president, the burger industry is among the most competitive, making it harder to grow and maintain a stellar reputation and foster real staying power. Brands that endure are the ones that constantly evolve and serve the food customers want to eat. In that spirit, Eucalitto noted the burger franchise has launched a new in-store design this year, introduced a mobile food cart and sold new franchise agreements while continuing to serve the food its customers have come to expect.
Bill Chemero, brand Executive Vice President, says the popularity of its international franchise opportunities this year is just the beginning for the fast-growing brand. According to Chemero, franchise agreements have now been awarded in more than 35 countries, and the brand is actively seeking master franchisees for the Netherlands, South Africa, Germany and the UK.
Started back in 1991, the Connecticut-based Wayback Burgers is known for its hand-dipped shakes and cooked-to-order burgers served in a retro atmosphere with modern touches. Currently, this brand has locations in 28 states and several stores overseas, with franchise opportunities still available in many markets. The franchise fee is $35,000, and the initial total investment is around $350,000.
