Massage Envy is currently celebrating more than 110 million massages and its 15-year milestone, but this growing company is also eyeing the expansion of its skin care and body services at its 1,150-plus franchise business locations. Later this year, the massage and skin care service brand will become the first national chain to offer assisted stretching services in service options for members. This is in addition to the expansion of its skin care offerings, which started in 2016 and will continue though this year. New options for members include chemical peels with products from PCA Skincare and Microderm Infusion, which is a proprietary service that blends timed hydration with microdermabrasion for more effective skin resurfacing.
Brand CEO Joe Magnacca said that Massage Envy is leading the charge when it comes to using the membership model in the wellness industry. The service expansion is meant to meet consumer needs and drive growth for franchisees and the business as a whole.
Since the first location opened its doors in Arizona in 2002, this skincare and therapeutic massage has made its way into 49 states. This past year included another company milestone with the opening of its first international location in Australia in 2016.
