High-tech custom apparel business Big Frog Custom T-Shirts has just opened a brand-new location on Detroit Road at Avon Commons in Avon, Ohio. The custom apparel franchiser allows customers to design their own apparel in the store, with a high-powered printer enabling immediate creation. Services include school apparel, hoodies, T-shits and more.
Franchisee and North Ridgeville resident Cathy Kingsley is the owner of the new franchise business, and she hopes to bring some fun into the area with her services. Kingsley previously worked as a project manager in the banking industry for more than two decades but felt she needed a change.
According to Kingsley, although the people and business in her former industry were good, she got tired of what she was doing, so she began to explore franchise opportunities with her husband, Brian Kingsley. It was during this research that she discovered Big Frog Custom T-Shirts, which was present at a convention she attended in Cleveland. The new franchisee was attracted to the brand because art is one of her passions, and it allows her to be creative while giving back to the community.
Kingsley is also passionate about involvement in community outreach and has been involved with the Cleveland Walk for Autism and Autism Speaks. One of her two children was diagnosed with autism at an early age. In 2007, Kingsley published a book of essays documenting the experiences of people who have been affected by this condition.
The new Big Frog location held a soft opening on December 14th and has a larger grand opening planned for the spring. This location is open from 9am to 6pm during the week and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.
