PJ’s Coffee Franchise Business Brews Up New Logo

Date

Aug 24, 2017

New Orleans-based PJ’s Coffee unveiled its new logo to partners and franchisees at the roasting facility in New Orleans, marking the first logo change for company in more than ten years. Created by Moroch Partners, this new design aims to capture the spirit of the company, which is quality coffee, guest hospitality and remaining true to its roots at each and every franchise business location.

The new logo has a rich purple tone and highlights hospitality and dedication to quality via the "J" in "PJs," which is wrapped around a mug of coffee. Purple is a color that is strongly associated with the State of Louisiana. This new icon will be rolled out at brand locations and become part of all platforms and communications starting this summer. A new store, located on Jackson Avenue and Magazine Street in New Orleans, that is scheduled to open in June will be the first location to roll out the new logo with the brand's enhanced interior package. This package has a modern design with a upscale feel and traditional New Orleans character, and it will also be the new standard for all updates and locations from this year forward.

According to Reid Nolte, Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy, the re-branding is both a nod to the company's history in New Orleans and its growth plans. The coffee company was founded in New Orleans back in 1978 with the mission of serving truly great coffee with a dose of genuine hospitality. Today, this company has stores in seven states and also two locations in Vietnam. Its 91st store will open in June, and the company is on track to reach 100 locations this year.

PJ's Coffee also expanded its footprint in Texas this year with the signing of a franchise agreement for multiple units with Master Franchisee Mike Price. The agreement includes the second location for Price, which is to be opened at the end of the year in Cypress, and plans for eight more locations in the state over the next six years. Its first Florida location was opened this year in Miami Beach.

In the midst of this expansion has also come a tide of new products, including the newest Red Velvet Cake blend and Protein Velvet Ice, a coffee beverage with added whey protein for nutrition. All locations carry a diverse food and beverage selection, including hot coffee, frozen drinks, fresh pastries and take-home coffee products.

Currently, this established yet still growing coffee franchise is offering franchise opportunities to qualified applicants. The franchise fee ranges from $10,000 to $30,000, depending on the location type, and the total investment for one of these franchise opportunities also has a wide range by store format, from $184,400 to $527,000.
