New Orleans-based coffee franchise business PJ’s Coffee is setting its eyes on nationwide expansion beyond southeast part of the US it mostly calls home. With success in more than 90 locations in the country and internationally, the coffee brand, which is known for its roasting techniques, high-quality beans and passion for coffee making, is ramping up its momentum by joining with local entrepreneurs in cities nationwide.

The coffee brand has already signed multi-unit deals and franchise business agreements in Vietnam, Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Colorado, with the first store slated for the City of Pueblo in the Centennial State. Other target cities with franchise opportunities now available include Houston, Texas; Mobile, Alabama; and Jackson, Mississippi. With the coffee industry now worth around $100 billion annually, this brand is marking its own mark by aiming for 100 locations to be opened by the end of the year.

PJ's Coffee serves a wide variety of cold brew, hot, frozen, nitro-infused and ice coffees using just the top one percent of beans, in addition to fresh pastries and organic teas. Its popular ice coffees are brewed using a special process that preserves bean strength and flavor but is two-thirds less acidic than normal, a process that was invented by the brand's founder, Phyllis Jordan. This company also works with farms all over the world to find and source coffee beans of the highest quality. It has adopted El Terrerito Farm, a farm in Honduras that is supported by the 26 families who work there. Working with this farm has allowed the coffee brand to develop programs that minimize the environmental footprint of coffee growing and harvesting while ensuring a better quality of life for Honduran farmers.

Brand Roastmaster Felton Jones explained that establishing trade relationships has always been a brand priority and that the company's "farm-to-cup" philosophy is something that cities and communities nationwide will welcome. According to Felton, the coffee company is seeking franchisees who have a passion for hospitality excellence and embody the spirit of New Orleans. The initial total investment for this franchise ranges from $166,400 to $440,000, with both traditional and non-traditional units available.
