Leading remediation and restoration franchise business PuroClean just announced the appointment of Darren Hudema as its director of technical services and training. This move is aimed at boosting its training efforts and expanding on its current growth so franchisees have access to top training programs. In his new position, Hudema will lead the brand's academy, which means overseeing technicians, support staff, and the training and mentoring of franchisees.

Brand COO and President Steve White said the company is dedicated to offering those who take advantage of one of its franchise opportunities top-tier support right from the start. According to White, Hudema is going to play a critical role in establishing a strong foundation for franchisees and their team members.

The new director has been part of the cleaning and restoration industry for more than four decades, having experience with large loss, trauma, commercial and resident events. He is certified as a Water Loss Specialist by the Restoration Industry Association and is also certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) organization as an instructor, a Master Water Restorer, a Master Fire and Smoke Restorer, and a Master Textile Cleaner.

Thanks to his vast experience in the field, he has published several articles in trade publications and has trained more than 4,500 professionals in water damage restoration. In his new role, he will develop the cleaning and restoration brand's training efforts even further, giving franchisees, their team members and other industry professionals instructions on damage restoration so they can achieve certification by IICRC. Many programs will be held at the brand's own Applied Structural Drying (ASD) facility--known informally as the "flood house"--which allows franchisees and techs to perform restoration services in real time before they meet with clients.

Along with Hudema, this brand has also added two new regional directors to its team, Gabriel Lugo and Joshua Flores. In their new roles, the directors will help new franchisees, providing advice and ongoing support to help them become successful and maintain that success. Flores has more than nine years of experience in the remediation and restoration industry, and Lugo has in-depth knowledge of the industry and its franchisees. Most recently, Lugo managed a territory of 90 franchisees in addition to recruiting and training new franchisees for an established commercial cleaning brand.

Since its founding in 2001, PuroClean has grown to more than 280 franchise locations across North America. This brand provides several restoration, cleaning and remediation services, including mold removal, biohazard cleanup, smoke and fire damage remediation, and flood water removal. The initial investment for one of this company's franchise opportunities ranges from $72,732 to $190,582.
