Red Effect Infrared Fitness has just announced that Arnie Kander, previously a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the NBA, will be its Chief Medical Director and an equity partner. CEO Allie T. Mallard praised the former coach and said the boutique fitness company, which focuses on interval training, is thrilled Kander is coming out of retirement to bring his infrared expertise to the brand.
Kander had a long and distinguished career spanning more than two decades with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons, and he played a big role in the latter's 2004 NBA World Championship win.
In addition to this exciting new hire, this growing franchise business also has new locations in the works. Kyle Draper, who previously served in high front-office positions for both the Pistons and the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, is opening new locations in the Tampa and St. Pete area as a multi-unit franchisee. Draper is among six other franchisees nationwide who are opening locations in Virginia, Michigan, Florida, Illinois, California and South Carolina by the middle of this summer. This brand is offering franchise opportunities in other areas as well to fuel growth and is also eying new studios in Canada.
Red Effect Infrared Fitness was the first to pair interval fitness training with infrared therapy. The heat emitted throughout its studios helps warm the body naturally, enhancing workouts to produce a deep and detoxifying sweat. This innovative brand currently has franchise opportunities available across many markets.
