- Expecting to reach 2 billion dollars in cumulative sales next year.
- Now open in Canada. The first location opened in Burlington, Ontario on March 1 of this year.
- Making free phone calls home possible for deployed and hospitalized U.S. service members through its “Help A Hero” program that benefits the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Operation Uplink…more than 2 million calls provided to date and counting!
“It truly has been an extraordinary experience for me and my family to watch the Sport Clips Haircuts concept grow and evolve into a business opportunity that enables our Team Leaders (franchisees) to have a better lifestyle leading to financial independence and provides Stylist careers for thousands!” says Founder and CEO Gordon Logan. “When we first thought of developing the Sport Clips concept, we knew that the men’s and boys’ market would be our target, and the sports theme would be an integral part of it. It’s a business model we have fine-tuned through the years to ensure we provide the best business opportunity possible for our Team Leaders and the best MVP haircut experience for the clients we serve every day!”
Logan told the "National Huddle" gathering of the company’s
continued same store sales success and its very “bright” future,
“It took Sport Clips 18 years to reach a billion dollars in
cumulative sales, and we expect to reach our second billion next
year in only 3.5 years.” In addition, Logan shared his
memories of the company’s first National Huddle that was attended
by just 35 people, comparing it to this record Huddle attendance of
more than 2,000 franchisees, managers, area developers and support
team members at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
Highlights of the meeting included guest speakers Marcus Luttrell,
retired U.S. Navy SEAL and author of “Lone Survivor,” and special
appearances by Sport Clips’ sponsored Joe Gibbs Racing’s NASCAR
drivers Denny Hamlin and Elliott Sadler.
Special recognition was given to the franchise's Help A Hero
campaign and its half- a-million dollar donation in 2012 to help
deployed and hospitalized U.S. service members call home at no cost
through the VFW's Operation Uplink Free Call Days program.
The franchise also announced its support of the Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS) organization and its High Five Tour, an annual 48-state road trip across America to raise awareness of the WWFS mission and funds to build custom-designed “smart homes” for two severely wounded veterans and their families. On June 17 through July 26, Sport Clips will collect donations in its more than 1,000 locations to support construction of the homes. WWFS will embark on the “Tour” in a patriotically-wrapped 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500 in June, making stops at Sport Clips locations across the country. Following the Tour, the car will be auctioned, with all proceeds going to support WWFS.
