Palm Beach Atlantic University President William M. B. Fleming, Jr. recently announced that the school received a $1.5 million commitment from Ray Titus. This financial pledge will fund a program to introduce students to franchising and offer them training while also serving as a launch point for careers in the franchise industry.
Slated to open in fall of 2017, the Titus Franchising Center will offer coursework in the Rinker School of Business that covers all franchising aspects and will provide students with job shadowing opportunities, an internship program, and training at UFG's headquarters in West Palm Beach.
Ray Titus said the UFG is making this investment in the Palm Beach Atlantic University to help promote the importance of the franchise businesses as a global, viable career option for current students. Key UFG employees and the company itself will be part of every aspect of the new center's operations.
The Titus family also has personal connections to Palm Beach Atlantic University, with Ray Titus' son having graduated from PBA. Moreover, UFG's staff currently includes some alumni. According to Titus, UFG is looking forward to hiring future PBA graduates who will come to the company already trained thanks to the new center.
