American Express Travel Representative Cruise Planners recently announced Theresa Scalzitti will be joining the company as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Scalzitti, who has more than 20 years of experience with Royal Caribbean International, formally started on February 29th. In her new role, Scalzitti will manage the brand's business development, sales and marketing teams' strategic directions and take on some other leadership areas.
Scalzitti worked for Royal Caribbean for more than two decades and took on various roles. Her most recent positions were marketing senior manager and national account sales, and she consistently made or exceeded her annual revenue goals for the past 11 years of her account portfolio. She was a key player in the sales growth Cruise Planners experienced with Royal Caribbean and earned the President's Challenge Award for two years in a row. Scalzitti was also named 2015's "National Account Sales Manager of the Year." The Cruise Planners franchise business also earned the Chairman’s Award because of its successful track record and its partnership and mutually beneficial innovation.
