Wayback Burgers ended 2017 with a successful franchise development push over the last quarter. Its rapid growth during the third quarter of the year, combined with its success in the fourth quarter, served as proof of the improvements and expansion the brand enjoyed over the last year.
Currently, Wayback has 148 restaurants globally, and this fast-growing chain now has active stores in 28 states in the US and on three other continents. International locations include Kuala Lumpur, Saudi Arabia, Argentina and Brunei, and this brand also opened its first franchise business in Africa in the Sudan and signed master franchisee agreements in both the Netherlands and Bangladesh.
Over the last quarter of 2017, 10 new domestic locations were opened, with three in Texas, two each in California and Florida, and one each in Maryland, Oklahoma and New Hampshire. Wayback also signed four new agreements and announced another 12 locations as being under construction. This brand saw 26 new locations open over the course of the year, and according to company Vice President Bill Chemero, all of the applicants taking advantage of its franchise opportunities demonstrate Wayback's commitment to delivering quality food at an affordable price, its focus on developing innovative and appealing menu items, and its continuing investment in technology.
Known as America's "favorite hometown burger joint," Wayback Burgers is planning on an explosive 2018 and will be taking part in several franchise shows to offer its franchise opportunities to prospects in a few different markets. The franchise fee is $35,000. The total initial investment varies by store size, but the average is $350,000 based on a 1,600-square-foot model.
