During her 27 years in the insurance business she never lost her passion and desire to tutor, and over the years she kept an eye out for a place where she could help children learn.
Although she came across many tutoring franchises, she found that The Tutoring Center was different. This franchise was about helping more children by helping its franchisees to be successful. The Tutoring Center Franchise was with Helen every step of the way. She has now owned The Tutoring Center in Flower Mound Texas for over two years and has become a mentor who supports the success of other franchisees.
“It’s like being part of a family who provides the support we need to make it on our own, Helen said, “it has allowed me to make a dream of mine come true.” Helen now gets to spend her time making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families. She receives ongoing feedback from parents and students about the benefits they receive at The Tutoring Center.
Just the other day she had a parent tell her that they had tried everything to help their 8 year old daughter learn to read. They had her tested for dyslexia, and when the results came back negative, they just did not know what to do. Then, they enrolled her at The Tutoring Center. When their daughter received her next report card, they were excited to see she went from C’s to A’s in reading. Best of all, her confidence was up, she was happy, and she loved going to the Tutoring Center.
The Tutoring Center of Flower Mound also had a high school student come in who barely passed 8th grade math. While attending The Tutoring Center she made A’s in her Algebra class. When asked what she liked about coming to The Tutoring Center, she said, “I like the feeling of being confident during class and getting one-on-one help with things I struggle with in school. Also, the tutors are so genuine and so helpful. Most of all, I like going to The Tutoring Center because my confidence level increases every time I walk out the door.”
When asked about owning her franchise, Helen answers:
“At The Tutoring Center, we have created a fun positive environment where students learn which has a positive impact on the families in our community - that’s my dream come true!”
